Weekly Status Update: May 9th, 2026

Welcome to my first Week[end] Status Update!

My thinking on these weekend status updates is that it allows me to recap the progress I’ve been making, struggles, and a place to share my learnings.

This week was Boulder Startup Week. I didn’t get to attend as much as I’d like, but I had a great time Monday, Wednesday and Friday. It was awesome to talk to folks who have been building for years, listening to second+ founders and their learnings.

In between sessions I got to meet some folks who were investors, building x thing for enterprise, etc.

Scorecards

Beyond that, I’ve been working on getting my CV pipeline set up to handle scorecard scanning. From a user perspective I plan on using this two ways:

• Capture a validation of score for folks that want to do that
• Scorecard database, which powers course validation

Thus far, my training is running and looking good. Hopefully it reaches a new best model today/this weekend.

Maps

I learned that I might have been violating ToS for the provider I was training on. Wasn’t my intention, thought I was in the clear but might have been going down a bad path. I’ve tossed my collected images, kept the annotations and am now trying to rectify them against a new dataset (same tile locations). It’s mixed results, specifically due to shadows casted by buildings/trees that change the geometry of polygons.

Web

Worked on bringing up this site, pretty standard since I’ve previously used Astro+Digital Ocean to build sites before.

Contracting

• Had a convo with an agency looking to have some contracting work done.

Side Projects

• Started working on something I am calling “Top3” to focus folks on their top 3 things they need to get done today.
